Gracie Chancellor

Gracie Chancellor, age 97 of Louisville, KY and formerly of Westview, KY died Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at Westminster Terrace in Louisville. She was born in Breckinridge County, KY on May 9, 1922, the daughter of the late James Willis and Susan Elizabeth Wheatley Osborne. Mrs. Chancellor retired from the Westview Post Office where she was Post Master. She was a member of Cave Spring United Methodist Church where she was a very active until her move to Louisville. She was a kind, gentle, soft spoken and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. Mrs. Chancellor enjoyed reading, taking vacations and flower gardening. She loved her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Jesse, her brothers Orville and J W Osborne, sisters Flora Carwile and Alice Hale.

Mrs. Chancellor is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Daryl and Ann Chancellor of Louisville, KY
3 grandchildren: Amy Elizabeth Konermann (Scott), Sara Ann Reece (David) and Scott Chancellor (Jannelle)
4 great grandchildren: Matthew and Megan Konermann, Gracie Ann and Brooklyn Elizabeth Reece

Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home in Hardinsburg, KY on Saturday, 11-9-2019 at 10 AM CST. Burial will be in the McDaniels Cemetery in McDaniels, KY. Visitation will be held on Friday, 4-8 PM and Saturday after 8 AM at the funeral home.
