Elroy Carman, age 78 of Garrett, KY died Friday, June 16, 2017 at Westport Care Center in Louisville, KY. He was born in Garfield, KY on September 25, 1938, the son of the late Marvin Carman and Estill Dowell Carman. He was a retired welder from Henry Vogt, a member of Buck Grove Baptist Church, enjoyed quail hunting and spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters: W. T. Carman, Dick Carman,  Arthur B. "Doc" Carman, Louis D. "Bubby" Carman, Raymond Carman and Charles E. "Dugie" Carman, Cora Neal Stinnett, Ida Mae Kinnerson and Becky Dowell.

1 son and daughter-in-law: Dale and Jessica Carman of Pleasure Ridge Park, KY
2 grandchildren: Hunter and Haley Carman
1 sister and brother-in-law: Ella Rae Carter and her husband Bob of Otisco, IN

Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at 11 AM CDT with burial in the Hensley Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday beginning at 9:30 AM CDT.

Expressions of sympathy are suggested to Hensley Cemetery or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
