Dorothy Adkins Rinard

Dorothy Adkins Rinard, age 87 of Sample, KY died Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Hardinsburg Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born in Hardinsburg, KY on May 2, 1930, the daughter of the late Mike and Lula Mae Embry Dunn. Dorothy was a member of Sample United Methodist Church where she also taught Sunday school. She was a homemaker, mother of nine children and had several interests that include quilting, flowers, gardening, canning, cooking and playing horseshoes with her family. After her children began school, she began a job at Galante Studio where she worked for many years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children Omer Adkins.

Private funeral services were held at Sample United Methodist Church with burial in the Sample Cemetery under the direction of Trent-Dowell Funeral Home.
