David Willard Buchanan

David Willard Buchanan, age 84 of Hardinsburg, KY died Monday, November 26, 2018 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born in Washington, DC on December 25, 1933, the son of the late James Allison and Mildred Grace McCall Buchanan.  David was a veteran of the United States Navy, a member of Hardinsburg United Methodist Church, the Men's Class and he taught Sunday School. He was a member of the Breckinridge County Chamber of Commerce and ASCP. He had many interests that include eating, napping, sports - especially football, tennis and basketball, watching Wheel of Fortune and The Price is Right. He adored his wife Linda, who was the love of his life. Spending time with his family was very important to him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother James Allison Buchanan, II and sister Barbara McCall Timbie.

David is survived by his wife Linda Jarboe Buchanan of Hardinsburg, KY
2 sons - Daniel Buchanan and his wife Lori of Powder Springs, GA
John McCall Buchanan and his wife Sharon Lynn of Posen, IL
5 grandchildren - Martha Painter and her husband Patrick, Amber Buchanan, Kaitlyn Buchanan, Alana Buchanan and Adrian James Buchanan

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at 11 AM at Hardinsburg United Methodist Church. Burial with military honors will be in the Cloverport Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10 AM at the church under the direction of Trent-Dowell Funeral Home.
