Allen Shartzer Obituary
Allen Ray Shartzer, age 69 of Hardinsburg, KY died Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at Jewish Hospital. He was born in Breckinridge County on September 14, 1948, the son of the late Elva Jess and Mary Frances Nalley Shartzer. Allen attended Community Praise and Worship, he was a retired truck driver and a Vietnam Army veteran. He enjoyed fishing, watching movies and all sports.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Allen Lucas and 2 brothers - Johnny Shartzer and E J Shartzer.
Allen is survived by his son Patrick Shartzer of Sebree, KY
4 grandchildren: Hoyt Allen Shartzer, Meredith, Brenna and Hope Lucas
5 sisters: Jean Morton of Brandenburg, KY
Frances Smith of Garfield, KY
Patsy Woods, Fay Kinnerson and Joyce Kiper of Hardinsburg, KY
Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 1 PM. Burial with military honors will be in the New Bethel Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10:30 AM on Saturday.
