Cindy Cook

Cindy Cook, age 48 of Hardinsburg, KY passed away March 5, 2024 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.. She was born in Evansville, IN on June 29, 1975, daughter of the late Edward and Rita Hughes Smith. Cindy was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and former EMT with Breck. Central Ambulance Service. She loved spending time in her home entertaining and cooking for her family. Her grandchildren and dog Otis were her world. 

Cindy is survived by her husband John Cook of Hardinsburg, KY

4 children: Cody Cook of Hardinsburg, KY; Johnathon Cook of Hardinsburg, KY; Nikki Veit of Hardinsburg, KY and Dawn Knezek of Hardinsburg, KY

4 grandchildren: Ryder Lacefield, Remi Veit, Waeric Veit and Braden Veit

9 brothers and sisters: Chris Smith of Owensboro, KY; J R Smith of South Carolina; David Smith of Texas; George Cook of Payneville, KY; Lisa Taul of Lewisport, KY; Rita Prunes of Lewisport, KY; Pam Record of Texas; Brenda Carwile of Payneville, KY and Teresa Cook of Harned, KY

Funeral services will be held at Hillcrest Baptist Church on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at 11 AM with burial in Hillcrest Haven. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday, 3:30 - 7 PM and Saturday, 9 - 11 AM.

The family requests donations to assist with expenses be made to Trent-Dowell Funeral Home.
