Willard Daugherty, age 97 of Custer, KY died Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at HardinMemorial Hospital. He was born in Hardin County on January 5, 1920, the son of the late Lannie and Daisy Pearl Flowers Daugherty. Willard was a WWII Army veteran, a 65 year member of Custer Masonic Lodge #624, an active member of Custer Chapter Order of Eastern Star, Amarath and Rainbow Girls and he attended Custer United MethodistChurch.  He was a retired farmer and construction worker.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years Marie Lyons Daugherty, son-in-law Larry Williams, 7 siblings William Daugherty, Raymond Daugherty, Huey Daugherty, Oetta Carter, Lucille Adkins, Louise Alexander and Mayetta John.

Willard is survived by his daughter - Rita Faye Williams of Custer, KY

grandson - Bradley Williams (Robyn) of Bowling Green, KY

2 great grandsons - Parker and Mason Williams

1 brother-in-law and 4 sisters-in-law

several nieces and nephews

Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home in Hardinsburg, KY on Friday, December 22, 2017 at 11 AM. Burial with military honors will be in the CusterCemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, 3:30 - 8 PM and Friday after 8 AM.

Expressions of sympathy are suggested to Custer United Methodist Church, Custer Masonic Lodge or Order of Eastern Star
