Shannon Marie Mattingly, age 38 of Sonora, KY died Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at University of Louisville Hospital. She was born in Elizabethtown, KY on December 8, 1977. Shannon was a server at Whistle Stop Restaurant. She loved being with her family, her work, fishing, reading and cooking. She was a very caring, compassionate and giving person and even in death she carried on this wonderful trait by being an organ and tissue donor.

She was preceded in death by her special friend Justin Keith and grandparents: Joseph Clarence and Mary Pauline Mattingly, John and Geneva Glasscock.
Shannon is survived by 2 children: Alexis and Justin Thomas Cline of Sonora, KY
stepson - Kyle Cline of Elizabethtown, KY
Parents: Tommy and Terry Mattingly of Union Star, KY
2 brothers: Jody Mattingly of Sonora, KY
Stevie Mattingly and his wife Kathy of Upton, KY
1 niece: Isabella Mattingly and 3 nephews: Cory, Luke and Blaine Mattingly
many aunts, uncles and cousins also survive

Funeral services will be held at St. Theresa Catholic Church on Monday, November 28, 2016 at 9 AM CST with Fr. George Illikkal officiating. Burial will be in the St. Theresa Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Sunday, 4-8 PM CST.

Memorial contributions are suggested to The Shriners or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
