Roderick "Rod" Scott Henning, age 65 of Hardinsburg, KY passed away Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Norton Hospital in Louisville, KY.
He was born in Hardinsburg, KY on November 27, 1951, the son of Robert Vincent Henning and Mary Ruth Critchelow.

He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and a farmer for many years. He retired from the Department of Agriculture Weights and Measures in August 2017 after 30 years of service. Rod loved life to the fullest and never met a stranger.

He was preceded in death by his father Robert V. Henning, his grandparents Robert and Jessie Payne Henning and Edd and Lillie Brown Critchelow.

Many nieces, nephews and friends and his buddy and pal Oscar his dog.

Funeral services will be held at St. Anthony Catholic Church on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at 11 AM with Fr. Tony Stevenson and Fr. Brian Johnson officiating.
Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Wednesday, 2-8 PM and Thursday, 8:30 - 10:30 AM. A prayer service will be held on Wednesday at 7:30 PM.
