Pearl Ford Lucas

Pearl Ford Lucas, age 98 of Custer, KY died Friday, March 9, 2018 at her residence. She was born in Constantine, KY on September 18, 1919, the daughter of the late J W and Nealie Johnson Ford. Mrs. Lucas had many interests that include sewing, quilting, singing, dancing, cooking, baking and flower gardening. She enjoyed attending church services and the Senior Citizen center. She had a sense of adventure and would try almost anything once and some things more than once. Mrs. Lucas loved life and her large family which consisted of 3 sets of 5 generations.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Vester Lucas
4 sons - Lendsey, Charles, Ralph and Coy Lucas
7 brothers and sisters - Owen, Raymond, Sidney, Bessie, Sally, Roe and Ida
Mrs. Lucas is survived by 8 children: Jesse Lucas of Harned, KY
Audie Lucas (Brenda), Steve Lucas, Carolyn Lucas (Donnie) and Cheryl Board (Bubby) of Custer, KY
Raymond Lucas (Kina) of Hensley, KY
Beulah Board Basham and Velma Priest (Chester) of Stinnettsville, KY
22 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren and 39 great great grandchildren
1 brother - Hobart Ford of Vine Grove, KY
1 sister - Viola Dodson of Constantine, KY

Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Friday, March 16, 2018 at 11 AM with Bro. Mac Sosh officiating. Burial will be in the Custer Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, 4-8 PM and Friday after 8 AM.
