Mary Rita Whitworth

Mary Rita Whitworth, age 77 of Westview, KY died Sunday, February 25, 2018 at Norton Suburban Hospital. She was born in Hardinsburg, KY on June 21, 1940. Mary Rita was a member of St. Romuald Catholic Church and a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, singing, U of L basketball and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her mother Minnie Storms, grandparents Charles and Leona Alexander and great grandson Christian Matthew Brumfield.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years James "Jim" Whitworth of Westview, KY

4 children: Cheryl Mattingly (Mickey) of Kirk, KY  Connie Brumfield (Andy), Kevin Whitworth (Shelia) and Tim Whitworth (Dana) of Hardinsburg, KY

9 grandchildren: Jennifer Payne (Todd), Brooke Coffman (Chris), Billy Brumfield (Felicia), Joseph Brumfield (Dana), Kristen Edwards (Parker), Katlyn, Madelyn, Miranda and Jon Cameron Whitworth

7 great grandchildren: Kyler and Ashton Coffman, Kailey and Drake Payne, Adalynn, Kinsley and Ella Brumfield

Funeral services will be held at St. Romuald Catholic Church in Hardinsburg, KY on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at 11 AM CST with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home in Hardinsburg, KY on Tuesday, 3:30 - 8 PM and Wednesday after 8 AM.
