Mary Hortense Dugan, age 87 of Hardinsburg, KY died Saturday, December 31, 2016 at Norton Audubon Hospital. She was born in Garfield, KY on October 2, 1929, the daughter of the late Dudley and Bessie Dalpher Haynes. Hortense was the oldest member of Garfield Cumberland Presbyterian Church, CPW Ministries and Daughters of the American Revolution. She was a homemaker who loved having her family with her as often as possible, genealogy, collecting antiques, cooking, spending time on the farm and dealing in real estate.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands Noah Bruner Jr. and Lawrence J. Dugan, siblings Leonard, Willard, Odessa, Alena and Shelby Jean.

18 great grandchildren: Madelyn, Miranda and Jon Cameron Whitworth, Sam, Megan, Ben, Peyton and Maggie Compton, Ashley, Carrie and Amie Flood, Christopher, Clayton and Emily Goff, Ethan and Ella Bruner, Nora and Sam Bruner

Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at 1 PM with Rev. Frank McCallum officiating. Burial will be in the Garfield Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, 4-8 PM and Wednesday after 8 AM.
