Lois Ann Porter, age 54 of Elizabethtown, KY died Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at Kindred Jewish Hospital. She was born in Hardinsburg, KY on August 27, 1962, the daughter of Louis Tilford Bland and Emily Frances Whitfill.  She was a former child caregiver and office manager. Lois had many interests that included electronic games, adult coloring books and puzzle books. She was very involved with Cub Scout events when her son was young and enjoyed taking her nieces and nephews on vacations.

She was preceded in death by her son Kenneth Marcus Bland and her father Louis Tilford Bland.

Funeral services will be held at St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at 11 AM with Fr. Tony Stevenson officiating. Burial will be in the St. Mary of the Woods Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Friday, 4-8 PM and Saturday after 8 AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society or Kosair Charities.
