Kenneth Wayne Garrett, age 73 of Hardinsburg, KY died Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at his residence. He was born in Lodiburg, KY on February 20, 1944, the son of the late Frank and Viola Cundiff Garrett. He retired from CSX Railroad as a maintenance foreman and enjoyed watching NASCAR, raising chickens and watermelons, mowing and watching baseball.

He is survived by his wife Kay Garrett of Hardinsburg, KY
1 son - Kenny Garrett (Georgine) of Webster, KY
2 daughters - Lynn Garrett of Alaska and Lisa Garrett of Louisville, KY
4 stepsons - Bub Etherton (Eunice), Scott Smith (Trish Aldridge), Kenny Smith (Misty Flood) and Eric Smith
1 stepdaughter - Marlene
1 brother - Clifford Garrett (Rose) of Guston, KY
1 sister - Dorothy Miller of Hardinsburg, KY
several grandchildren including Chelsy Frazier and several great grandchildren

Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Friday, September 8, 2017 at 10AM with burial in the Walnut Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, 4-8 PM and Friday after 8:30 AM
