Joseph E. Nimmo, age 82 of Hardinsburg, KY died Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Hardinsburg Nursing and Rehab Center. He was born in Breckinridge County, KY on June 20, 1935, the son of the late Jesse and Olive Tucker Nimmo. Joe retired from the Kentucky State Highway Department and enjoyed fishing, CB radios and visiting with his neighbors. He was a member of St. Romuald Catholic Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Karen Nimmo and 2 half brothers - Leo and Loyd "Buster" Tucker.

Joe is survived by his wife Minnie Oelze Nimmo who he married on July 9, 1959.

18 great grandchildren: Jace Gray, Canyon Pagan, Jescey Hardin, Penny and Cally Nimmo, Ellie Burns, Mason and Kyle Wyatt, Jaxon, Camden, Alexis, Araya, Aiden and Jace Moore, Isaac, Ian, Bryton and Olivia Mahoney

Funeral services will be held at St. Romuald Catholic Church on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at 10 AM with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Monday, 3:30 - 8 PM and Tuesday, 8 - 9:30 AM.  The rosary will be recited on Monday at 7 PM.
