James Albert "Jim" Ball, age 73 of Cloverport, KY died Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Norton Hospital in Louisville, KY. Jim was born in the Holts Bottoms area of Breckinridge County on October 22, 1943, the son of the late Nelson Jolly Ball and Mary Opal Morgan. He was a member and former deacon of Cloverport Baptist Church and retired from Commonwealth Aluminum. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, farming and anything outdoors.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 brothers - Wayne, George and Don Ball.

Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Sunday, July 9, 2017 at 1 PM. Burial will be in the Glen Dean Cemetery. Visitaiton will be held on Saturday, 4-8 PM and Sunday after 10 AM.
