Helen McGinnis Tritschler, age 93 of Hardinsburg, KY died Saturday, October 21, 2017 at her residence. She was born in Latrobe, PA on May 8, 1924, the daughter of the late Henry and Anna Ebersberger McGinnis. Mrs. Tritschler and her family moved to Brandenburg, KY in 1960 and shortly after, she took a secretarial job at Fort Knox . When Helen was 52 years old, she became an RN. She worked in the onocology department of Highland Baptist Hospital in Louisville, KY and later at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon, IN. She and her husband enjoyed playing golf and were members of Hillcrest Country Club. Helen was very artistic and enjoyed all varieties of painting - charcoal, watercolor and oil painting. She made a charcoal drawing of her five daughters when they were each 18 months old. Not only was she artistic, but very thoughtful - she handmade Christmas cards for her friends. Helen enjoyed playing the piano and was a wonderful seamstress.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert Howard Tritschler and four sisters - Mary McGinnis, Emily Harkins, Rose Lee and Virginia Sharpenberg.

9 grandchildren: Charlie and Robbie Miller, Cara Calvelli (Nick), Matthew Garretson, Jeff Basham (Abi), Mark Basham (Sara), Katie Basham, Courtney and Christopher Hidalgo
7 great grandchildren: Max and Claire Calvelli, Reese Barnett, Grayson, Taylor, Samuel and William Basham
2 sisters: Edith Houlihan of Chicago, IL and Ruth Ann Spangler of Snellville, GA

A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Romuald Catholic Church in Hardinsburg,  KY on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at 11 AM. Visitation will begin at 9:30 AM at the church on Thursday.
