Helen Earline Shaw, age 90 of Hardinsburg, KY died Sunday, April 23, 2017 at her residence. She was born in Buras, KY on December 14, 1926, the daughter of the late Vernon and Eva Carman. She was a retired nursing assistant, enjoyed flower gardening and reading her bible. In the 1980’s, she accepted Christ, in 2003, she was baptized in Rough River, in 2016 she joined Kingswood Wesleyan Church and completed reading her bible.

She was preceded in death by her husband Herbert Shaw, sister – Lorene Butler and brothers – Vernon Carman, Jr. and Calvin Carman.

Betty Dixon (Eddie) of Harned, KY
4 grandchildren: Sondra Nottingham of Nashville, TN
Amanda Lancaster (Jason) of Irvington,KY
Brad Nottingham (Kim) of Hardinsburg, KY
Andrea Carroll (Brad) of Elizabethtown,KY
2 step great grandchildren: Zach and Braden Carroll
7 great grandchildren: Jasmine McDaniel, Dylan Lancaster, Brooklyn, Bailey and Sam Nottingham, Lily and Marlee Carroll
several nieces and nephews

Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Friday, April 28, 2017 at 12 PM with burial in the Hensley Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, 3:30 – 8 PM and Friday after 8:30 AM.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Kingswood Wesleyan Church Building Fund.
