Gilbert Lucas, age 83 of SeRee, KY went to his heavenly home Saturday, May 27, 2017. He was born in Breckinridge County, KY on March 12, 1934, the son of the late Jimmy Lucas and Mary Belle Sosh.

He was a Godly man who loved his church and serving the Lord. He loved his family, farming, hauling water, visiting and eating, especially his favorite foods - biscuits and gravy, beans and cornbread. He retired from White Stone Company in 2001 after working 40 years.

He was preceded in death by 4 brothers - Marvin, Ralph, Eugene and Tommy Lucas
2 sisters - Lucille Carman and Louise Hale.

Gilbert is survived by his wife of 55 years -  Bobbie Kennedy Lucas of SeRee, KY
4 children - Carnell Mason (Sonny) of SeRee, KY, JoAnn Lucas (fiance John Sebastian) of SeRee, KY, Mike Lucas (Tracy) of SeRee, KY and Barry Lucas (Lisa) of Sample, KY
5 grandchildren: Jennifer Masterson, Ashley Lucas, Jessica Hazelwood, Dustin Lucas and Tyler Lucas
8 great grandchildren: Haley, Noah, Eric, Peyton, Brooklyn, Quincy, Kennedy and Khloe.
3 brothers - Roger Lucas (Nancy) of Hardinsburg, KY, K. T. Lucas (Barbara) of Westview, KY and Larry Lucas (Debbie) of Madrid, KY
2 sisters - Doris Butler (Finley) of Westview, KY and Ina Armes of Garfield, KY
2 sisters-in-law: Catherine Lucas and Janet Lucas

Funeral services will be held at Emmanuel Fellowship Church on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at 1 PM. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Tuesday, 3-8 PM and at the church on Wednesday after 9 AM.
