Eugene "Gene" Aldridge, age 78 of Garfield, KY died Saturday, December 9, 2017 at his residence. He was born near Kingswood, KY on May 29, 1939, the son of the late Jess and Goldie Sosh Aldridge. He was a retired construction superintendent and enjoyed hunting, fishing, yard work and gardening.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Jesse Ray, his daughter Cindy and two grandsons Ryan and Matt.
Gene is survived by his wife of 58 years - Ruby Aldridge of Garfield, KY
2 sons - Rod Aldridge of Garfield, KY and Ronnie Aldridge (Lori) of Frankfort, KY
2 daughters - Angela Whelan (Keith) of Rosetta, KY and Paula Aldridge of Garfield, KY
8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren
2 brothers - Finley Aldridge (Bonnie) of Utica, KY
Donnie Aldridge (Sylvia) of Philpot, KY
1 sister - Brenda Hancock (Micky) of Hartford, KY

Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at 1 PM. Burial will be in the Westview Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9:30 AM on Wednesday.
